Different Side of Taipei | Local Food & Off-the-Beaten-Path Spots
For the final day of our Taiwan trip, we spend the day exploring Taipei — starting in busy Ximending before heading out to some of the less-touristy parts of the city.
We begin with breakfast in Ximending, picking up a freshly made Taiwanese scallion pancake from a street vendor. From there, we head to LaLaport Nangang, one of Taipei’s newer shopping malls, where we explore the huge food court and grab some lunch.

After that, we venture away from the usual tourist areas and explore a quieter, more local side of Taipei.
We finish the day near Taipei 101 with dinner at Chun Shui Tang, the famous Taiwanese teahouse widely credited with creating pearl milk tea.
