So she is acting in the belief that she should make her own livelihood. From 2011 she studied animal skinning and gutting, and held a workshop showing how to kill, cook and eat birds. She gained her hunting licence in 2013, and while hunting she practices the skill of tanning on her trophies. Currently, she is operating a share house in Fukuoka Prefecture where the work of making food and energy is done by themselves. In 2014 her book “I began skinning and gutting animals, and make a life as female hunter” is being published by Kirakusha. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
