BILL HADER’S Life at the Movies (THE CAT IN THE HAT, BARRY)

Comedian, actor, writer, and director Bill Hader joins us on the podcast this week! The star of the new THE CAT IN THE HAT talks about his debut feature film THEY KNOW, but what formative movie-going experiences make it into the film festival of his life? We’re talking DIE HARD, impressions, Buster Keaton, documentaries about death, PA-ing a film in the jungle, running into Béla Tarr on the streets of Santa Monica, and the magic of the movies. THE CAT IN THE HAT is in theatres this weekend. The American Cinematheque operates the Aero, Egyptian, and Los Feliz 3 Theatres in Los Angeles, and soon the Directors Village in Westwood, with programming nationwide. The American Cinematheque is a 501(c)(3) non-profit – if you’d like to learn more, donate, or become a member, head to americancinematheque.com.
