Daitoku-ji Temple: The Heart of Zen Buddhism in Kyoto | FULL DOCUMENTARY

If Buddhism has taken multiple forms depending on latitude, minds and wills, in Japan, it has found its purest form with Zen Buddhism, which emphasises emptiness, both as a spiritual and an aesthetic principle. Kyoto's famous Daitoku-ji Temple and its surrounding Zen gardens are like a hymn to a world that mediates between the secular and the sacred and the visible and the invisible, in a supreme quest for harmony and beauty.
