A wisdom tooth problem that I didn't take seriously at first eventually turned into a much bigger challenge. After weeks of gum inflammation, pain, and facial swelling, I finally decided to get my wisdom tooth removed — all by myself, in a city where I'm still getting used to living. From visiting the clinic and getting treatment to finally having the tooth removed, the whole experience cost me around ¥1,500 (approximately $225), far more than I had expected. The days after the extraction weren't easy either. I had to adjust to eating soft foods, deal with the discomfort, and take care of myself while recovering. Sometimes, growing up means learning to handle these little unexpected challenges on your own.
