Your home should not cost you a small fortune every month. Between the cleaning aisle, the repair calls and the replacements you buy because something wore out too fast, American households can spend thousands a year on products that do one narrow job. If your kitchen sink smells, your windows streak, or the bill for "the good stuff" keeps climbing, this video is for you, and the fix is probably already under your sink.
In this video I show you the simple tricks my father used in our house in Westland to keep everything clean and working for almost nothing. The paste of baking soda and water he scrubbed into the drain every few weeks. The vinegar and newspaper he used on the windows so they never streaked. The cornstarch he rubbed into the carpet before he vacuumed. None of it needs a special shelf or a special budget, and all of it was in the kitchen cupboard the whole time.
Here's the thing: a box of cleaner that costs more than a tank of petrol and promises a miracle in a bright bottle does not really beat a bowl of baking soda. Nobody films a commercial for the cheap option, because it does not need a logo to work.
I also tell you the honest part that most videos skip: which of these tricks does not work on every stain, every grease or every problem, and when you should simply buy the proper tool. The last trick my father kept for the hardest job in the house is the one I saved for the end.
Disclaimer: This video is for general information only. Never mix vinegar with bleach or any other cleaning product, test every method on a small hidden area first, and keep all cleaning products away from children and pets. For serious mould, damp or structural problems, call a licensed professional.
