Day 3 of Looking for a home in Japan. "LOST IN THE COUNTRYSIDE"
Things didn’t go exactly as planned this time. While searching for a home in Yamanashi Prefecture, I ended up lost near Yanagawa Station, far from the usual tourist path.
This is part of my series where I visit every prefecture in Japan and rank each location on four things: accessibility to a major hub or city, the landscape and views, the people of the town, and the availability of vacant homes (akiya) to buy and renovate. Getting lost turned out to be a great way to see what everyday life in rural Japan is really like, and to find out how easy (or hard) it is to get around without a car.
Enjoy the video, and subscribe so you don’t miss the next destination!
