The Pentagon Is Preparing Bases to Survive 90 Days Without the Grid
Britain just told every household to be ready for three days without power, water or phone service. Days later, Fox News reported internal documents showing the Pentagon drafting a plan for every major American military base to run for 90 days with no outside help. It's part of FORTRESS, the program Pete Hegseth announced on September 30. Here's what it would take to build: microreactors, base-sized microgrids, months of fuel and water on site, and a bill one defense magazine projects could reach hundreds of billions of dollars. Plus why the Pentagon doesn't trust America's power grid.
Note: the Pentagon has not publicly confirmed the 90-day figure. FORTRESS itself is real. Cost figures are a magazine projection, not an official number.
If the military doesn't trust the grid, should regular Americans be preparing too? Yes or no, tell me in the comments.
